These terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to the enquiry, estimate and account features on it. Work we carry out for you is governed by the separate written contract you sign; where that contract and these terms differ, the contract governs the work.

Using this website

You may use the website to learn about our services, to obtain an approximate price, to request an estimate and, if you become a customer, to use the Client Portal.

Please give accurate information. Do not use the site to submit anything unlawful, to attempt to gain access to accounts or data that are not yours, or to interfere with the operation of the site.

Approximate prices and estimates

A price shown by the website calculator is an approximate range based on the answers you give. It is not a quotation and not an offer. A binding price is given only in a written estimate prepared after we have seen the property, and becomes binding only through a signed contract.

SMS Terms

Program name: Precision Build Works Transactional Alerts.

By ticking the text message consent box on our website or in the Client Portal, you agree to receive transactional text messages from Precision Build Works at the mobile number you provided. This program sends transactional messages only. It does not send marketing or promotional messages.

Messages you may receive under this program:

• appointment confirmations, reminders and changes;
• links to estimates and to documents that need your review or signature;
• project status updates;
• account notifications.

SMS Terms — frequency, cost and opting out

Message frequency varies.

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier, not us, decides what your messages cost.

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You may opt out at any time, and opting out does not affect your estimate, your contract or any work in progress — we will contact you by email or telephone instead.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to text messages to request an estimate, receive a price, schedule an appointment, or buy goods or services from us.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Text messages are not a way to reach us urgently. Do not use them to report an emergency.

Supported carriers may change, and message delivery depends on your carrier and your handset.

How we handle the number you give us is described in our Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy.

Electronic communications

When you contact us through the website you consent to us replying electronically about that enquiry. That is separate from the text message consent above, which is optional and specific to text messages.

Client Portal accounts

If we give you a Client Portal account, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it. We may suspend an account we believe is being misused.

Maps and address lookup

The address suggestions and the driving-distance check on this site are provided through the Google Maps Platform. By using those features you also agree to the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service, at https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/terms, which incorporate the Google Terms of Service at https://policies.google.com/terms. What you enter into an address field is handled as described in the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and in our own Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy.

Whether we can take on a property depends on the driving distance from our office. A property outside the area we serve may be declined, and an address we cannot confirm is reviewed by a person rather than accepted or refused automatically.

Content on this site

The text, photographs and design on this site belong to Precision Build Works or are used with permission. Please do not copy or republish them without asking us first.

No warranty for the website itself

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Information on the site is general information about our services, not professional advice about your property.

Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited, including your rights under the written contract for any work we perform and under consumer protection and contractor licensing law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will publish the new version here with a new version number and effective date.
